Coding in Color is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide educational resources for underrepresented students in computing with a primary focus on computer science education in Arizona. Our organization aims to diversify the technology industry by building the bridge between students from underserved backgrounds to post-secondary education and high-earning, technical careers.

Winter Hackathon 2023

UAT Summer Camp 2023

From June 10th to 13th, 2023, students were engaged in a summer camp partnered with UAT. It was a 4-day program with varying curricula teaching the students about things like electricity, robotics, data science, and AI.

Burton Barr Library Workshop 2023

On July 29th, 2023, Coding in Color partnered with the Burton Barr Central Library to teach the community how to use simple circuits with Arduino.

Spring Hackathon 2023

From April 28th to the 29th of 2023, students from across the Phoenix Valley participated in our Spring semi-annual hackathon. The theme was Web Development!

Winter Hackathon 2022

We recently had our winter hackathon at the Phoenix College IT Institute. Students made an adventure game using python.

Spring Hackathon 2022

The Spring Hackathon of 2022 was hosted at Phoenix College IT Institute. Students participated in the overnight hackathon doing coding challenges for lots of fun and prizes. You don't want to miss the next one!

Winter Hackathon 2021

The 2021 Winter hackathon was hosted by Phoenix College. Students teamed up and competed against each other in a series of coding side quests.
