Microsoft TechSpark Fellow 2024-2025

Phoenix, AZ (July 2, 2024) — Coding in Color, a nonprofit organization committed to providing computer science education to students from historically underserved backgrounds, is proud to announce that it has been selected as a Microsoft TechSpark Fellow. As the only organization chosen to represent the state of Arizona, Coding in Color will receive a $50,000 grant from Microsoft to further its mission of delivering impactful computer science programs across the state.

The Microsoft TechSpark Fellowship is a prestigious program that recognizes and supports organizations making significant contributions to advancing technology education and digital skills development in their communities. Coding in Color's selection as the Arizona representative highlights its dedication to bridging the digital divide and empowering students with the skills they need to succeed in the technology sector.

With the support of Microsoft, Coding in Color plans to enhance its existing programs and introduce new initiatives designed to engage students in computer science and technology. These programs will include coding workshops, summer camps, hackathons, and after-school activities, all aimed at fostering a love for technology and preparing students for future careers in the tech industry.

Coding in Color's upcoming initiatives, made possible by the Microsoft TechSpark Fellowship, will focus on reaching students in rural and urban areas, ensuring that all young people in Arizona have access to high-quality computer science education.
