Banner Health Grant Awarded to Coding in Color

PHOENIX, ARIZONA – This Friday, Coding in Color has announced that as the recipients of the Banner Health Community Reinvestment Grant, they aim to use the grant to continue furthering their mission in providing computer science education to underserved students in Arizona.

Coding in Color has recently launched a pilot Web Development Certification program in partnership with Hope Academy which has had positive feedback from both staff and students. Students are currently earning certifications in Web Development and learning how to use technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the fundamentals of software development. With this grant, Coding in Color will be continuing to expand these programs to other schools and students throughout Phoenix Arizona.

Over the last year, Coding in Color has experienced unprecedented growth that has enabled us to continue to expand our impact. We are thrilled to have been chosen for this grant to help further our cause and ensure each student in the state of Arizona has access to Computer Science education.
