Coding in Color hosted its 2024 Summer Camp at the University of Advancing Technology, where high school students explored web development, AI, and robotics

Coding in Color’s 2024 Summer Camp, hosted at the University of Advancing Technology, brought together Arizona high school students for an engaging week of hands-on learning in web development, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Students kicked off the camp by building a strong foundation in HTML and CSS before progressing to JavaScript, where they created interactive projects like a Tic Tac Toe game and integrated it into their own websites. Throughout the week, students also explored AI concepts, tested different models, and engaged in thoughtful discussions about real-world questions in technology.

The camp was enriched by guest speakers from the tech industry, including professionals from companies like Meta, Boeing, and Shipium, who shared their experiences and inspired students to pursue careers in technology. The program concluded with an exciting robotics challenge, where students programmed robots to navigate a maze using core programming concepts like functions and algorithms. With interactive lessons, live demos, and a collaborative environment, the summer camp provided students with both technical skills and confidence, making it a memorable and impactful experience for all involved.
