Coding in Color’s Day of Compute with Next Gen Women in Tech

Next Gen Women in Tech supported Coding in Color’s Day of Compute, bringing together over 100+ students for hands-on learning during CSEdWeek.

Coding in Color proudly hosted our second annual Day of Compute on December 12, 2025 in partnership with Next Gen Women in Tech, welcoming over 140 students from the Phoenix Union High School District. Held at Phoenix College, the event brought together students from multiple schools for an engaging day of hands-on workshops and exposure to careers in technology. In celebration of CSEdWeek, students had the opportunity to learn from tech industry professionals and college mentors across topics such as artificial intelligence, embedded technologies, robotics, and web development.

This impactful event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, staff, and facilitators who helped bring the experience to life. We are especially grateful to Phoenix College for their continued support and for providing a welcoming space for our students to learn and grow. Coding in Color looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to expand access to computer science education in the years ahead.
