Coding in Color’s AI4Teachers Program
Coding in Color successfully launched its first AI4Teachers cohort, empowering educators with the skills and confidence to bring AI and computer science into their classrooms.
Coding in Color proudly completed the first cohort of our AI4Teachers program in partnership with Wilson School District and the Million Dollar Teacher Project. Over the course of 12 weeks, educators engaged in hands-on learning focused on artificial intelligence, computer science fundamentals, and ethical considerations in technology. This program was designed to support teachers at all experience levels, especially those with little to no prior exposure to computer science, and to equip them with practical tools and curriculum they can bring directly into their classrooms.
The impact of the program was significant, with participants more than doubling their knowledge of AI and dramatically increasing their confidence in teaching it. In fact, confidence levels grew by over 300%, and all participating educators reported that they had never previously received computer science professional development. Through interactive sessions, real-world applications, and a supportive learning environment, teachers not only built technical skills but also joined a growing community of educators committed to expanding access to AI education. Coding in Color is proud of this first cohort and looks forward to continuing to support teachers on their journey to bring meaningful, future-ready learning opportunities to their students.
